what is MACKINVIA?
MackinVIA is a complete digital content management system. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all CJHS digital resources: subscription databases, e-Books and audiobooks in one easy-to-access portal. No need to remember individual database passwords! Simply sign on with your school credentials to access MackinVIA. You can use MackinVIA on any desktop, laptop, or mobile device with Internet access. If you would like to download titles to read offline, the free MackinVIA app is available for all major mobile devices.
HOW DO I access MACKINVIA?
- From a web browserThere are several ways to access the MackinVIA website from any supported browser. The direct link is ebnet.mackinvia.com. The MackinVIA LTI may also be integrated within Canvas.

With the MackinVIA™ app, you can view your checkouts while online or download digital resources to your device for offline access. Once you download your ebook or audiobook, the app allows you to read or listen to your book without needing Internet access! If you have Internet access on your device, you can also browse through the CJHS digital collection and checkout more titles.

A QUICK TOUR OF MACKINVIA
- ACCESSING RESOURCES
Use the menu bar on the left to access all CJHS digital resources. These include subscription databases, eBooks, audiobooks, videos, links, categories and groups. Categories provide a quick and easy way to find digital resources based on a topic or genre. Groups can be customized based on grade, reading level, subject area, lesson plan, or anything you like! Group resource types can include ebooks, audiobooks, databases, videos and links. Teachers can be given Group Administrator rights to create the groups needed for their classes for easy student access to reliable and relevant sources!

To check out a title, make sure you are logged into your Backpack account. Then click the Checkout button.
Checkout periods are for 21 days, and items may be renewed once. You do not have to check out a resource to read it. If the book is not checked out, click the Open Now button to open it. This is a good option if you want to preview a few pages before checking the book out. |
